EPW - Touchon & Co, Swiss, minute repeater with very thin profile, "Made for Tiffany & Co." marked mvt, 45mm, 7.3mm front to rear thickness with crystal included, 18K gold OF original case with gold cuvette, refinished gilt dial marked "Tiffany & Co.," SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, strike train fully jeweled to hammers, 29J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#13959 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 31.9 dwt (49.6 g). A notably thin and elegant minute repeater.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good repeat function and tone, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous plates with scattered micro-fine scratches, spot of dark toning to lower plate under hammer adjacent to balance cock; refinished dial is cosmetically superb with only a mild micro-fine surface scratch above right side of seconds-register; excellent hands, few small bits of oxide to tip of minute; case shows very little wear, some fine scratches to cuvette from slipped past openings, some soft dings to center rear causing rippling of reflection, small protruding ding to cuvette near center, rear and cuvette open a bit short of 90 degrees (to approximately 80 degrees), opened rear tips closed freely with gravity; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
